Calvary Cemetery Clean Up Begins Oct. 17


Calvary Cemetery Notice Fall clean up will begin on Oct. 17. ALL spring and summer flowers and decorations must be removed BEFORE the 17th of October. Anything left will be removed. The only decorations allowed after that date will be fall and Christmas. If you want what you have out there now, it must be removed before Oct. 17. Father Schaller will be giving a presentation on the Holy Land in the church basement on Thursday, September 21, 2017. The presentation with photos will be at 6:30 Pm till 8 PM. All are invited to attend.

A collection box has been established at the NW corner of Calvary Cemetery (near the maintenance shed) for the disposal of American flags. Please remove the stick or shaft from the flag.

The Fall Deanery Meeting will be held Tuesday, September 19th at Sacred Heart Parish, Nekoosa. Board Meeting at 4 p.m., Social at 5 p.m., Dinner at 6 p.m., Speaker at 7 p.m. Guest Speaker is Julie Worzella from Destiny Point, Women’s Restoration Home. Catechesis Of the Good Shepard
A catechesis program for children ages 3-5 will begin on Tuesday, September 19th, with sessions at 10 AM and 4 PM. Orientation for parents will be held Tuesday September 13th at 6:15 PM at the SSPP school building. Registration will be available in the back of the church. Relics of Saint Padre Pio

Celebrating the 130th anniversary of Saint Padre Pio’s birth, and the 15th anniversary of his canonization, relics of Saint Padre Pio will be available for public veneration in the Diocese of La Crosse on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Cathedral of St. Joseph the Workman, 530 Main Street, La Crosse. Veneration of the relics will be offered from 9:00 am until 11:45 am and 1:15 pm – 6:30 pm. Mass will be offered at 12:10 and 7:00 pm. The 7:00 pm Mass will be in honor of Saint Padre Pio and will be celebrated by the Most Reverend William Patrick Callahan. Confession will also be available throughout the day. We are in need of many volunteers to assist with this special event. If you or someone you know would be interested in giving a few hours of time that day to assist, please contact Debbie at dbrannon@diolc.org or call the Bishop’s Office at 608-791-2686. We need individuals to assist with parking, directing traffic, directing visitors and the guest area.
